What is the square foot price?
Price per square foot depends on the type of home you want to build, your budget, and your personal preferences.
How long will it take to build my new home?
The length of the project depends on the size of the home. For example, a 1,500 to 2,000 square foot home takes about 4 months to build, while a 6,000 square foot house takes approximately 8 months.
Can we do some of the work ourselves?
Yes, homeowners are welcome to do as much or as little as they want. However, doing some of the work yourselves may delay the completions of your home.
Will my basement be dry?
Yes, your basement will be dry. A dry basement depends on proper installation, foundation coating, sand backfill, gutter drainage system, and a sump pump with inside and outside tiling.
How do I choose a contractor?
You should consider these factors when choosing a contractor:

  2. Quality of Workmanship
  3. Professionalism
  4. Communication Abilities
  5. A Member of a Professional Building Association
Finding a contractor with whom you can develop a strong, trusting working relationship is the key.
Are your sub-contractors reliable?
We use only sub-contractors we trust. We have been working with most of them for at least 10 years.
Are the well and septic system included in the square foot price?
Yes, your well and septic are included in the square foot price. Typically, landscaping and appliances are not included; however, we can figure them into the square foot price if you prefer to include them in your financing.
Do we need permits?
Permit requirements depend on where you live and local building ordinances. Classic Builders will take care of the permit process for you.
Do we need to sign a contract?
Yes, you should always have a written agreement between you and your contractor which outlines the scope of work, warranties, timelines, budgets, liability, etc. There needs to be clear documentation of what the contractor is providing.
